Our notable Keynote Speaker is AGATA KOTKOWSKA, Visiting Researcher and Fellow at the University of California in Berkeley, EU Official in the European Commission, Green Finance Expert for Circular Economy and Biodiversity, and Member of Polish Professional Women Silicon Valley.
With over two decades of professional experience within the European Commission, Agata Kotkowska brings insights into European regional, energy, and environmental policies. Trained as an economist, her expertise focuses on sustainable finance, innovative financial instruments, green budgeting, and effective utilization of European public funding for the green transition towards carbon-neutral Europe.
Currently affiliated with the Institute of European Studies as a visiting researcher and fellow of the European Commission, she is exploring the financial innovations essential for the private capital market to leverage investments in support of biodiversity requirements in Europe and across the globe.
The EU Fellows Program enables staff from the EU Commission or Parliament to spend up to one year as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California in Berkeley. During the fellowship, Agata carries out research on a project related to her work, as well as undertakes outreach activities, thus acting as an “ambassador” for the EU.
Agata engages with fellow researchers and the university community to collectively pave the way to a more sustainable, environmentally conscious, and financially resilient future.
ABSTRACT
The green transition is seen as a game changer in the EU labor market alongside digitalization and automation. Skill needs will change with impacts far beyond the key occupations driving them, affecting all economic sectors. The keynote will discuss the importance of strong vocational education and training (VET) skills and reskilling to make Europe climate-neutral by 2050.

В даний час вона працює в Інституті європейських досліджень як запрошений дослідник і співробітник Європейської комісії, вона вивчає фінансові інновації, необхідні для ринку приватного капіталу для залучення інвестицій на підтримку вимог біорізноманіття в Європі та в усьому світі.
Агата співпрацює з колегами-дослідниками та університетською спільнотою, щоб спільно прокласти шлях до більш сталого, екологічно свідомого та фінансово стійкого майбутнього.
АНОТАЦІЯ
Зелений перехід розглядається як зміна ситуації на ринку праці ЄС разом із цифровізацією та автоматизацією. Потреби в навичках змінюватимуться, впливаючи далеко за межі ключових професій, які їх обумовлюють, впливаючи на всі економічні сектори. Основна доповідь обговорюватиме важливість міцних навичок професійної освіти та навчання (ПТО) та перекваліфікації, щоб зробити Європу кліматично нейтральною до 2050 року.
